What's on the menu?


As our new Senior Backend Developer, you'll be a key contributor to our engineering team, playing a vital role in building and maintaining the robust and scalable systems that power our business.

This role is about more than just writing code—it's about being an innovative problem-solver who contributes to the technical excellence of our Orbi. You'll have two key priorities: delivering high-quality software solutions while actively participating in the technical direction and growth of our engineering team.

You'll work closely with other engineers to understand and collaborate on architecture decisions, ensuring that our systems are designed for scalability, maintainability, and performance. You'll lead projects as a core individual contributor, planning and executing projects that involve multiple developers. You'll also collaborate closely with other teams, including product, design, and operations, to translate business requirements into elegant and effective technical solutions.

Beyond coding, you'll be an active participant in our engineering culture. You'll perform code reviews, providing constructive feedback to your peers and ensuring the highest standards of code quality. You'll also contribute your expertise to cross-functional initiatives, collaborating with other tech teams to solve complex challenges and drive innovation across the company.

Job requirements

The key ingredients for success: 

  • Prior experience in writing RFCs/PRDs/Design Documents and structurally contributing to project planning is a must. You are probably around 6+ years of relevant technical background.

  • You are fluent in at least one higher level language, preferably Go or Python.

  • Experience with working collaboratively in a cross-functional team, ideally in start-up/ scale-up environment.

  • You have a solid understanding of relational databases.

  • It is an added plus if you have experience in interfacing with data pipelines.

  • €6000 - €7000 per month ex. holiday allowance (depending on knowledge and experience).

  • 32-40 hour work week in a hybrid office setting, lunch included.
